The pandemic has made many law firms reconsider how they do business, and our firm is no exception. Even pre-pandemic, people put off estate planning because the idea of incapacitation and death are uncomfortable to talk about. However, amidst the global pandemic, people must be able to secure those documents. Unfortunately, getting folks started with estate planning without putting anyone’s health at risk can feel like a catch-22. During times like these, adaptation is the name of the game. It has been important to us that we don’t give up in the face of adversity, and that we instead find the silver lining. The creative strategies we have implemented have not only allowed for limited contact but have also increased convenience and ease for our clients. The last thing anyone needs during this trying time is a greater challenge to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their families.
Parking lot signings
In considering how we could safely accommodate our clients at this time, we have decided to perform parking lot signings. Parking lot signings allow clients and our staff to meet in our parking lot so that clients can simply roll down their windows and sign necessary documents efficiently, with minimal effort and little contact. While our clients wait for their documents to be updated, we are offering gift cards to Chick-Fil-A and Panera Bread—both down the street from our office—so you can grab a snack while you wait. Or, if you have an errand to run, you can feel free to do that and come back at your convenience to pick up your updated documents when it works best for you. These signings are a great way to create, update, or revise your estate plan from the safety of your vehicle. We are committed to your safety, rain or shine, and are excited to be offering this option.
Zoom Meetings
Our commitment continues with the utilization of zoom meetings for our clients. Through these meetings, we are able to take a hands-on approach to estate planning, conducting business over zoom. This way, clients can relax, knowing they are not putting themselves, or anyone else, in danger by conducting meetings face to face over the internet. We love getting the opportunity to get to know you, your family, and even your pets, on a more personal level!
Virtual Workshops
With our virtual workshop, we take an educational approach to estate planning. Sit on your couch and get the popcorn ready as we walk you through estate planning processes that will enable you to understand the ABCs of estate planning. This free virtual webinar, along with a personal complimentary session, will help you to get started creating your estate plan. We break down the important documents you need to protect your loved ones and your assets while also reviewing the common misconceptions about Wills, Trusts, Asset Protection, Nursing Home Issues, and Medicaid Qualification.
The Future of Conducting Business
While these new strategies have been born through the pandemic, we believe in making life easier for our clients in whatever capacity we can. The silver lining of the Covid-19 pandemic is that we have challenged ourselves to think outside the box to better serve you. We value convenience, efficiency, and personalization for all of our clients by working with your schedule to ensure you are protected from the unforeseeable uncertainties of the future—no matter what those may be.
At the Estate Planning Law Group of Georgia, our goal is to ensure your estate planning experience is as painless as possible. We are here whether you are looking to execute your first plan, update your current one, or require advice on how to process a loved one’s estate upon their passing. If you’d like to become a client of ours, visit our Becoming a Client page today, or give us a call at 770-822-2723.
